Leather Pen Holder.

As a writer and artist, keeping my workspace tidy is a top priority. One of my biggest struggles has always been organising my pens alongside my notebooks. With a fondness for my Moleskine and Field Notes, I decided it was time to create a tool that combines both style and utility - a leather pen holder! This project not only helps keep my favourite writing tools organised, but it also adds a fashionable element to my notebooks.

Why Leather?

Leather is not just visually appealing; it’s also practical. Its durability makes it ideal for everyday use, and it has a timeless quality that few materials can match. Did you know that leather can last for decades with proper care? As it ages, it develops a unique patina, adding character that reflects its journey. Whether you prefer the rugged charm of distressed leather or the refined look of vegetable-tanned leather, your pen holder will maintain its beauty over time.

Brass

I would normally use silver rivets and hardware for my designs but this time I decided to use brass rivets, the brass gave the leather a warm feeling not only to look at but when handling to.

The Cut

I wanted to give the item some strength and structure while keeping a simplicity to it. I decided to make it out of one piece of leather making sure to create the perfect loop to fit my Lamy fountain pen. Having the Holder made from one piece takes away all the stress points.
